Except that I’ll add my own twist -and I won’t live in L.A. or NYC.

Wow I'm Really Tired

This week has been intense. 

I started back on site for the City’s Watermain Cleaning & Lining Program. I didn’t realize how much I missed being outside! I might need to reconsider the next few weeks… maybe juggle around my schedule to be on site instead of in the office. Yuck.

Wednesday night, one of Adam’s bands played at A Khord. They were great. It’s been a while since I’ve seen a full band full performance (they played a few weeks ago at Gordie’s house - check out www.culturehub.ca for a video) so it was a nice treat to see the 8 of them on stage. 

Last night Adam and I had front row tickets to see Joel Plaskett at the Imperial Theatre. What a show! He’s been touring (last night was date #3) to support his new album “Three”. It’s a 3 disc concept album. How prog of him. 

Today I’m back to site. Exhausted. All I will need to do it deliver some notices and make a few phone calls. Then I will be free! Correction, then I will go back to the office and do my other work. lol. 

I’m going to Montreal in a week to see Mogwai. This trip kind of fell into my lap. There’s this girl I “know” from Halifax, Tiffany. I say “know” because I don’t know her at all. I follow her on flickr and I follow her on Twitter. I know that she has a boyfriend, and he plays in a band I really like. He also has a gear collection that makes Adam jealous - daily. Anyhow - she posted that she needed people to tag along and help them pay for the car rental and hotel. uh, duh! It didn’t take me long to be all “obv I will go to Montreal with you in your car”. Then I decided that I would buy Mogwai tickets. I can’t forget to buy Peter a T-Shirt.

Then I was all “oh yeah. I have one of those”. 

Lately: 

+ Adam has moved in… save for the rent part. But I haven’t bought groceries for WEEKS. Exhilarating for some reason. If only my power bill would magically pay itself. 

+ I started posting on twitter. It’s pretty entertaining to read quickly while at my desk.

+ Speaking of desk - I have one. IN MY BRAND NEW OFFICE. I have a door any everything! My grown-up traits are increasing. 

+ New shows? I’m now completely into season 19 of Law&Order. Jeremy Sisto is hot as balls. Holy fuck. 

+Engineering is going well. I’m auditing for the province right now - up next is a lovely watermain job in the North End. I LOVE PIPE SO MUCH. 

+ I’m hanging out with more girls and that is weird. I love it though. I can talk about clothes and shoes and movies and not feel like I’m causing yawns. The other night, Candice, Kelly and I went to the mall… and actually shopped. Like we stopped in stores and looked at things on racks. I was - dumbfounded? I haven’t spent any amount of time in any store in… months. 

+ Listening to? Bon Iver. I can’t get enough of this guy. 

Ok that’s all for another… oh, 2 months. I don’t know why I don’t write in this more often. With the amount of time I spend on the internet - it would only make sense. 

oh hello, internet!

I just remembered tat I have a blog! 

It’s almost Christmas shopping. This is the first time that I have purchased things for my friends and family members - and I’m happy with my choices. I got them things I wanted to… and I didn’t spend $5 per person. 

I just hope I can be around when they open them. 

Tonight I’m in Montreal. I drove up on Sunday to spend a few days wondering around. I’ve spent a lot of money but I don’t regret a penny. I’ve been able to meet up with some old friends and spend some time with existing ones. 

I drove home in the morning - which should be interesting considering the 15cms of snow we’re supposed to receive. 

I’ve missed you, blog.

If I ever use my blog to talk bad about my boyfriend… please shoot me in the face. 

I might use my blog to talk about my job, or my rent, or the fact that I’m now a mother of 3… but if I have a problem with my boyfriend I’m going to tell him to his face. 

I owe Adam more respect than talking shit about him in a blog that anyone can read. 

ugh. 

My blog updates have been sparse. This is due to my rekindled love of cross stitching. I’m currently stitching away at a “band photo” of one of my favourite groups. 

I have tomorrow off. I’m going to do dishes, bake cupcakes, pack a bag and go see Sylvie in Fredericton. Busy day. 

Laundry at Mom's

Whew! 

I noticed this morning that I had 3 pairs of socks left that fit in my work boots. That usually means I’m in need of some serious laundry time. 

I came to my Mom’s right after work (at 5pm! What a treat!) to get started. 

Adam and I went to Fredericton last night to pick up a snare drum he bought of kijiji. I haven’t seen him that happy in a long long time. The snare he bought is a 50’s model gretsch. I guess this is a very big deal. 

… op, gotta switch the load!
